All-New Enform Features Available on Select 2020 Lexus Models

(TORONTO, Ontario) July 5, 2019 – Starting in September with select 2020 model year vehicles, Lexus Canada will introduce all-new connected features to improve the in-vehicle multimedia experience for Canadian Lexus drivers.

These services will include the Lexus App, Enform Remote and Enform Service Connect, as well as compatibility with third-party services like Android Auto™ and Amazon Alexa™. Upcoming Lexus vehicle grades will be compatible with these services – in addition to Apple CarPlay™ – and will continue to feature Enform Safety Connect and Enform Destination Assist.

The first vehicles with these new connected services will be the2020 model year RX, RXh, RXL and RXhL, which are set to arrive starting in September. More models are to follow over the remainder of 2019 and into 2020.

Lexus App

The Lexus App will be available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.  It will be offered first on select 2020 model year Lexus vehicles with the following features:

  • Enform Remote 
    Lock / unlock doors, start / stop the engine, check the status of windows / moonroof, check fuel level, find your vehicle and monitor Guest drivers.
  • Enform Service Connect
    Receive maintenance alerts, recall notifications, vehicle health reports and more.

In addition to Apple CarPlay™, the connected features will also offer compatibility with the following third-party connectivity solutions.

Android Auto™ with Google Assistant™

Android Auto compatibility offers a simple and safe way to use an Android phone in Toyota vehicles. With Google Assistant, drivers can stay focused, connected and entertained by using voice commands while keeping their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Amazon Alexa™

Amazon Alexa compatibility allows drivers to perform remote vehicle commands on vehicles equipped with Enform Remote by using an Amazon home device.

Guest Support

Guests who enroll using the SOS button will now have their calls handled by a new Canadian call centre.  Enrollment options will be added to simplify the process. Guests will be able to enroll via the Lexus App or with the help of their Dealership Associate utilizing the new Dealer Portal.
